THE HABITS CHALLENGE

Adapting rapidly to change is key to making your people go the distance. Change or die, they say.

Organizational change—be this the company’s structure, strategy, processes, system, or culture—means that your people will have to create new habits. As both individuals and organizations have found, this is an extremely challenging venture.

Organizations may feel that procedures and methods, allied with inspiration, willpower, and motivation in their workforce will be enough, but the up and down nature of the latter qualities can lead to repeated failed attempts.

As your people set out to build or change everyday habits, time pressure, willpower fluctuations, distractions, stress, low motivational levels, and even hunger will hinder their progress.

This problem, which has long confounded individuals and organizations, is further compounded by habits growing inadvertently.

This leads to the question, “How can individuals in organizations build their habits consciously and consistently?”

YOUR MISSIONS

Just like the captain and crew of Starship Enterprise, in their voyages and missions to discover new worlds, in Warp Speed Habits, you will travel to and explore different worlds in your quest to create and change habits.

In these voyages, you will execute various missions as you explore new ways of building habits and changing behaviors in organizations.

You will venture into the Final Frontier, your brain, central to human behavior, where there is still far more unknown and unchartered territory than known.

You will deploy business management logic, learn to apply strategy at a personal level, and intersect and integrate this dimension with your tactics.

You will also learn to promote a habits mindset through a holistic framework, and shape your environment to incorporate physical, social, and emotional perspectives that are fundamental to the creation of habits.
